Zoo Tycoon 2: Extinct Animals Expansion Pack

Microsoft announced a new expansion pack today, Zoo Tycoon 2: Extinct Animals, and according to the press release, it is the largest expansion for the game to date. Scheduled for a fall release, Extinct Animals will introduce 30 new critters, and some more dinosaurs. We can expect the Dodo, Mastodon, and Saber-toothed Tiger to make an appearance, and the zoologist that resides inside us will have the chance to dig for fossils, bring the extinct animals back to life in a lab (I see a cloning backlash coming), and shoot dinosaurs with a tranq-gun. Sounds like an interesting addition to a fun little sim-game, but what I want next in an expansion for Zoo Tycoon 2 is mythical beats. That would be pretty cool.

Introducing 30 new animals and more than a dozen dinosaurs, ranging from the adorable dodo bird and massive American mastodon to the saber-toothed cat and T. rex, Zoo Tycoon 2: Extinct Animals provides new ways for players to experience the award-winning gameplay of Zoo Tycoon 2. Aspiring zoologists will be challenged to dig for fossils, bring animals that once roamed the earth thousands of years ago to life in the Extinct Research Lab, and wrangle rampaging dinosaurs with a tranquilizer gun.
