Zero Punctuation Reviews Peggle

The Escapist is hosting the latest offering from the hysterically cynical game reviewer “Yahtzee” Croshaw. This week’s review takes a grudging look into the world of casual gaming with a look at Popcap’s hit, Peggle. In his usual style “Yahtzee” breaks down exactly what makes these simple games so addictive and threatning to the casual games market.

ah, once again, the man delivers gold
Lol, I managed to play Freebird on GH2. Have a mentioned I suck at GH.
The Link is fubar
Well these are starting to go downhill. Making fun of Peggle and casual games is like making fun of Britney Spears. Any no-talent hack can do it because the jokes write themselves, and in the end it’s only as entertaining as repeatedly watching the same trainwreck. What’s next week’s review? Minesweeper?
So far Ben Croshaw has been a one-trick pony in his reviews, but at least up until now it has been a one hell of a clever and amusing trick. I hope he can recapture the magic in his next review or at least go in a different direction with them.
Yeah, he actually said that The Escapist pretty much made him review Peggle. Sooooo, either you just didn’t watch the video, or you did and chose to ignore this one clearly mentioned fact (seriously, there was a graphic and everything).
Um, no, that was awesome.
Do fishing console games count as “casual games”? Cause my mom loves those.
Could you try to plug PopCap just a bit more? I didn’t feel like you earned the money they paid to say all those things…
