Zero Punctuation Gets Civilized for Spore

With all the hubbub surrounding Spore these days — or more specifically, it’s ridiculous DRM — it’s nice to hear a hilarious take on the game from The Escapist’s resident Brit, Yahtzee Croshaw. Reviews of the game seem to run the full spectrum from “excellent” to “mediocre” to “a blight on society” (of course, these all come with the usual even-handedness that internet trolls are known for). Yahtzee’s opinon seems to fall into the “meh” category or the more specific “not as good as The Sims” category. For once though, it’s nice to hear someone’s opinion on the game itself without the mention of it’s DRM since it’s been rather hard of late to get someone to describe the flaws of the game without boiling it down to “not what I expected” and “EA sux!”
Another great review, but does anyone actually watch the six minutes of ads that follow the four minute review?
i think it´s one of the weakest reviews of him so far – not that i disagree, but the long oooooooooooooo…. could have been shorter and the review longer.
and i watched the (very cool) warhammer trailer last time, then again in hd on gametrailer.com … still … i just watched it again

Yep Spore blows and so does the DRM. Not worth a purchase.
