Yahoo’s Femme Fatales of the Virtual World

Lara Croft

Yahoo recently published a list of the top 5 femme fatales of the virtual world. Do we agree with the list? They did make some of the obvious picks, so not much can be argued with. Describing playing as these characters as a “more feminine experience” may be a little over the top though. They may be fun to look at, but there’s not a lot in these games that I would describe as text book feminine. My personal favorite is still Lara Croft, although I am not sure how much shelf life she has left. Click on the link at the bottom to check out videos of each character.

Although video game protagonists, like their players, tend to be male, gamers seeking a more feminine experience aren’t spoiled for choice.

Here’s their picks:

  • Rubi (WET)
  • Samus Aran (Metroid)
  • Lara Croft (Tomb Raider)
  • Ada Wong (Resident Evil)
  • Nariko (Heavenly Sword)
