November 15th will mark the fifth anniversary of Microsoft’s Xbox Live. To celebrate this, Microsoft is hosting a number of special events on Live that are open to anyone with a subscription. Simply play any game through Live that day and you’ll automatically be entered to win prizes, such as accessories and MS points. You’ll also have a chance to play against several game developers and take on the Frag Dolls in Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon the following day. You can check out more details on these special events at Xbox.com.

I jumped on the XBL bandwagon for the first two years since it became available back in ‘02 with Unreal Championship as my ‘testing platform’. Five years later, you still can’t pay for XBL by the hours played, so for people that play on XBL once in a blue moon, the yearly membership is too expensive.
