Xbox Live Arcade Size Limit Increasing to 350MB

Looks like you can expect to see some flashier games showing up on the Xbox Live Arcade soon. In a recent interview with GameIndustry.biz, XBLA’s David Edery, revealed that the size limit for games would be raised quite a bit from the previous limit of 150MB:
Q: And you’re upping the size of Xbox Live Arcade games as well to 350 megabytes?
David Edery: Yeah, it’s a steady progress. We’ve been listening to our partners, listening to our customers to try and get a feel for what’s right. We don’t want the size limit to hit the roof because we think there’s some value in promoting small pick and play experiences that don’t cost USD 20 million, it’s good for the ecosystem.
Of course, Microsoft has already made exceptions in the past for games such as Bionic Commando Rearmed and Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix, so I guess this was inevitable. Still, we’ll have to see if an increased size limit does anything to help the quality of the games themselves at all.

never will i buy the 120 Gb drive. thats a rip off, moneysoft open up like the good ol PS3. i can upgrade the hdd in that and even install linux, you suck microsoft for your measly ways. but increasing the size is great for developers. maby we can see some more high end games, thats quite a leap to 350. but still beans to todays games. more and more i become a fan of the PS3.

But if you have any knowledge of computers you will know that its microsoft who could simply allow any laptop HDD to increase the size of their Xbox. but they dont.

Well u got to understand the buisness side of this, ms saw how much sony made off of memory cards for ps2, plus they have to also help make up for the costs of making and selling the xbox 360. I own a 360 by the way and pc. Maybe a PS3 in the future.
