Ive tried my friends and it never had a problem, I still prefer wired because its close to my router and i know then it wont drop connection due to Wifi issues. solution = plug it in. but for the price, id not pay for that device. Id rather run a wire.

i want to get xbox live on my 360 but my motem and router are upstairs and my xbox is in the basment i want to know how i could conect to live and what i have to do. i have been to xbox.com/support but it just keeps advertising stuff

I think jason has the idea. I tried to do that except without using the network bridge…just let me tell u it’s a hell of a lot easier using the network bridge

Question: Do you have to use the MS Wifi Adapter?

Can you use a standard wifi adapter with USB? Has anyone ever tried that? Or, what about an access point?

Just use a laptop with a lan connection and bridge the LAN and Wifi connections then go to command prompt and type netsh bridge status it will display each adapter. once you see the adapters listed you want to type netsh bridge en (1). research that command. Stop giving MS money use what you already paid for. Peace.

I have had a network adaptor for about one year and five months and I dont get disconneted much and I download content faster then all of my friends who use an ethernet cable

I’m glad MS chose not to include Wifi as i’d never use it to connect and would’nt want to pay extra for something i wont use. While i don’t use Wifi in my house, i have’nt heard of anyone having any disconnecting problems with theirs.
Ethernet cable is always the better option if you have the choice.

Yup my adapter does the exact same thing! and 4get payin Â£60 for it. I still wont be happy with it even if it did work properly. they should have built it inside the box! i only have 1 because i got it free with my bt home hub. NOT WORTH IT AT ALL!

I’ve had my wifi on my 360 and have never had any trouble ever. In fact, even streaming Hi def graphics, it doesn/t even slow down or stutter.I have never had a problem on live either. I suggest Gamer43 check the quality of his wireless router, because it should work as well as mine if he has it set up right, or he’s just complaining for nothing.

^^^^^I have never disconnected on live, believe it or not.. it is worth it, if you need it that is… in my case I needed it, as the set up I have at home involved to many wires in the way if I decided to take the hooking it up to the cable route… it is kind of expensive.. so I would say only buy it if neccessary.

No it ain’t worth it, ppl been telling me on Live that they keep disconnecting because of their wifi . So it goes to say that you might as well hook in an ethernet cable… much more reliable . So don’t go waste 60 quid on that POS.
