Xbox 360 Travels from Consumer to Havant to Prague for Repairs

Microsoft is sending 1500 to 2500 Xbox 360s a day to repair centers in other countries and customers are not happy about it. In a post on 360gamer.com, Jay Filmer recounts Gamertag’s Lee Sherman’s experience with customer service about his failed Xbox. Lee was told it was in Havant, England, but he couldn’t call the repair center directly as they had no phones. So he looked it up, found the number and discovered his Xbox wasn’t in the UK at all; it was in Prague.
Lee also discovered over the phone that anywhere from 1500 to 2500 Xbox 360s were making this trip unbeknownst to their owners. 360gamer.com has received no response from Microsoft as of yet about the issue, probably because they’ve flown all their phones to the Netherlands and their PCs to Belgium for repairs.
360gamer.com also has an interesting Xbox 360 hardware failure survey, where over 5000 gamers have already voted on how many of their Xboxes have crapped out. Roughly 65% of voters have had one or more Xbox fail on them. If only Macintosh had a gaming system… oh yeah, the Pippin. Nevermind.

I don’t see the scandal here. So what if it’s repaired in Antarctica ? As long as it’s repaired quickly and properly.
I can’t help but laugh at MS, I also feel somewhat sorry for each individual who has had a major breakdown of their console but alas! What did you expect? It’s Microsoft!
So don’t buy a 360, even the newer Elite models still scratch discs and overheat, you really are just throwing more money away and it all goes into Billy’s bank account.
that’s 9 and half months
