No this isn’t the “Fall Dashboard Update”.

Over the next few hours, players logging onto Xbox Live will receive this small mandatory system update. Actually this update does one thing and only one thing… it preps your system for the holiday “Big Button Pad.” According to Xbox Lives’s Major Nelson, the certification team “needs time to test the new controller against the retail hardware/software combination before it hits stores.” Just one more reason to look forward to Xbox 360’s answer to the Wiimote.

    Anyways, I digress. I forsee a ton of messages on the xbox forums blaming this latest update for bricking their console. Anytime anything new occurs in xbox land, it’s always to blame.
