People like things for cheap(er), and it seems that Microsoft’s recent price cut is making a significant impact. According to a press release they issued today, sales of Xbox 360 have “more than doubled” since the recent price cut.
“Xbox 360 is truly the next-generation console of choice among consumers, and today’s numbers are proof that we are delivering on our commitment to achieve critical mass in Europe,” said Microsoft VP Chris Lewis. “The highly competitive ERP [estimated retail price], coupled with entertainment content that’s appealing to everyone in the home, makes Xbox 360 the ultimate high-definition entertainment choice, and it’s clear that we’re already seeing this resonate with consumers.”
The press release also, as per the usual, throws out the market-leading attach rate of 7.0 games per console to the PS3’s 3.8 and Wii’s 3.5. That’s all well and good, but Microsoft still has a long way to go before it really captures the European market away from the competition.

Who cares….
More than doubled? They are living in a dreamworld
They are selling the console for half the price of the PS3 yet are still being outsold by it every week.
“makes Xbox 360 the ultimate high-definition entertainment choice”
LMAO
Its unreliable, noisy, doesn’t have standard WiFi, bluetooth, hi def drive or hard drive and its hi def drive no longer has any films being released for it. Only a cunt would think its the ‘ultimate high-definition entertainment choice’.
let’s number tell the story
Yo…that leaf blower plays game too? You mean I can clean up the driveway while playing scratched up video game discs. OOOPS…spoke too soon…gotta send the leaf blower in for repairs. JEEEEZ!! has this ever happened to you?
Looks like Norbit is talking out of his ass again.
What’s it like being one of Sony’s bitches?
Go Marlins!!!!
I’d assume they dunno about the RROD issue. Which “makes Xbox 360 the ultimate failure entertainment choice”
