My Xbox 360 is used in my house for what it was designed to do….play video games. My PS3 is used for a Blu-Ray player….and playing one or two games……perhaps the failure rate for the Xbox has more to do with people using them more than Microsoft originally intended….think about that..

It really must not have been that much cheaper since they went back to an ASIC vendor. The 360 has really poor build quality when I got mine I have to get a new mic (it made echoes on live and didn’t work half the time) and a controller(the “X” button was sticking). I really haven’t had any thing go wrong with my PS3 except I had to get it replace once like my 360 but all the things that came with it seem like that are built really good. Like controller and what not.
