Microsoft Xbox 360 HD DVD deals have been running wild the past few weeks and here’s another steal. You get an Xbox 360 HD-DVD Player + King Kong HD-DVD movie + 5 more Free HD-DVD all for $159.99. Blu-ray will probably end up winning the format war, but for the current cost of HD DVD on your 360, it’s probably worth the risk. The actual war between HD and Blu-ray will probably go well into 2008.

HD DVD is still fighting
I am not that into HD movies, but I do really like the high quality games coming out on the Xbox 360. It is my favorite thing that I own (I like it more than my car even).
I am about to go out and party, and when I get home I will work towards some of my achievements in Gears of War or Saint’s Row… if I am in a condition to play.
Neither format is going to win anytime soon if at all, the mass market arent ready for a new format this soon after DVD, and DVD recorders have not long been at a price point where every home could afford one.

Movies in HD are sweet. The detail is just amazing. I got the HD DVD player for my 360 earlier this year with King Kong for 200 thinking that was a steal.
