Xbox 360 Getting a Price Drop in Europe

Microsoft has announced the Xbox 360 will be getting a price drop this week in Europe. Each SKU will drop by €80 on March 14th, so that the new prices for each unit will be:
- Xbox 360 Arcade – €199.99
- Xbox 360 (20GB) – €269.99
- Xbox 360 Elite – €369.99
Hmm… first rumors of a new 60GB SKU, and now a price drop for all the current SKUs in Europe? Pretty fishy, Microsoft. I’d say you’re definitely up to something.

I’d say they’re going to drop the arcade sku.
Funny that they claim the PS3 is only outselling them because of 360 shortages but they then drop the price
The simple fact is the 360 is currently being outsold by the PS3 nearly 2:1 in the EU and thats without GT5, MGS4, Killzone 2, Haze, LittleBigPlanet and all the other big titles coming for the PS3 this year. The only chance they have to try and keep up is to slash the price but it wont work because just like 360 fans keep saying ‘games sell consoles’ and the 360 hasn’t really got any left to compete for the PS2 install base compared with what the PS3 has coming out.
Its becouse they want to sell alot of consoles coming with the gta4 release.
