trash XBLA Wednesday 9/26: Not So Much

Apparently Microsoft thought it could get a free ride this week. They thought I’d be too busy playing Halo 3 to notice. But no – people, we’ve got no new Xbox Live Arcade games this week. Zip. Nada. Not even a port of a really old, obscure title that only 14 people – none of which own an Xbox 360 – care about.

The Xbox Live Arcade sale is in effect starting today, but if you really cared about Frogger, Bankshot Billiards or Hardwood Spades, you’d probably have already forked over the Microsoft Points to land yourself a digital copy.

Instead, the only real offering today on Arcade is the second add-on pack for Bomberman Live, the Bomb-Up Pack 2, which costs 250 Microsoft Points. Whoo.

How about fixing the Xbox live lag/sign on problems, caused from the massive ammount of Halo 3 players. This is a paid service. Yes its ok to be down or upgrades or whatever. I wont complain on that. But how long will this service be like this due to Halo 3?

If Xbox live is problematic constantly now because of Halo 3. Xbox live wont be fun for long. I call it “Xbox lag” not “Live”.

As for the games on sale, Bankshot billiards is not worth 200 points, let alone the M$ price. The only good one is bomberman addon, but is not necessary. FIX XBOX LIVE!!

I enjoyed the Bankshot Billiards free demo, but there’s no way I was spending 1200 points on it. I might fork over the 900 points, but even at that I’m hesitant. I’d have been much happier if they’d made it half price.
