doom XBLA Wednesday 3/19: More Arcade Hits

Having no new Arcade games is always disappointing, but this week isn’t as bad as it could have been. Two quality games have become Arcade Hits, meaning you can now find them at permanently discounted prices on the Xbox Live Marketplace: Doom and Assault Heroes are now each 400 Microsoft Points ($5).

I had been wondering if Microsoft ever planned to update the Arcade Hits program, as that front had been quiet since it was launched in December. I’m hoping they can establish some sort of consistency with when and how games are added to the Hits list; it would certainly help to breathe an extra life into many Arcade games whose online servers end up deserted within a few weeks of its release.

Why would you get a $350 gift card if the difference between $600 and $300 is only $300?
