World War II With Mechs?

I don’t know how many of you have seen this short film, but it’s amazing for several reasons. First, it just looks great. Second, it’s set in World War II. Third, it has MECHS! Seriously though, the guys over at Cee-Gee have outdone themselves this time. Check out the realism and the great mech animations, and ask yourself this question: Can a game based on this be far behind? Enjoy!

I found an error  one of the soldiers has an air force insignia, but the air force wasnt founded til 1947 and this takes place in 1943

  10. Vonster says:

The music at the end sound like maybe from The Shadow.

This thing is about 3 years old….atleast. I remeber seeing this at the CPL a very long time ago.

Anyone see the easteregg about half way thru?

  13. Vaughn says:

That was lame. The ending was lame, the animation was lame, the voce acting was a laugh and the tounge-in-cheak starwars hand rip-off was the geekiest thing ever.

incredibly well animated with some great fight sequences between the planes and the mech, but to be honest the story line was abyssmal. if the german army had created a mech that powerful, why would it send it to the pacific? wouldn’t it make more sense to help it defend germany instead of getting involved somewhere else half way across the world?

and if america had its own mech then shouldn’t they know that sending a small squadron of planes to fight the german mech be suicidal?

and out of all the places to attack, an american shipyard? a place that is surrounded by heavily armed battleships? sounds like a stupid idea to me. :?: :?: :?:

Wow awesome CGI though…It’s better without sound (my speakers are messed up :???: )

However, aside from that airforce insignia anachronism, fighter pilots still didn’t use masks until the fighter jet was invented…it wasn’t necessary until then, even though a P-51 could reach 35,000 ft. Probably done so the animator didn’t have to model mouths…still great video.

K the grafix are amazing I wonder what 3D soft ware they used and were can I get it? The acting was great exept for the lead piolet was not the best actor he was focused too much on pulling off the vioce. for some reason the Nazi mecha reminds me of darth vader the desighn wasent as cool as the American Mecha but the Nazimecha’s chest piece was way better looking. man that was cool. At first when they were pulling out the Ameramech I thought they were launching a missle I was all disapointed Im thinking oh come on they just give up that place that easy? Now the fight reminded me of godzilla with the holden on to the other mecha a breathing falmes on him but dude nothin sais amarica just owned like riping out the dudes arm and beating him with it till his heads knocked off!!! and then insault him by smashing the arm into his neck socket thats brutel!!!

i like the idea of Mechs back in the past even though some of the combat decisions are a little questionable. the models were very nice and the animation was solid. lighting and textures also a win. i would like to see any concept art that was done before the 3d process. that would be cool
