Vivendi and Massive Entertainment have officially confirmed that the anticipated RTS World in Conflict will be available for Xbox 360 consoles. World in Conflict is similar to Command and Conquer, but one of the main differences is the graphics which are closer to next-gen and more aesthetically pleasing. This is just the newest title announced for the 360, and the surge in RTS games for the console seems to be becoming trend. With the success of Command and Conquer 3 and the Halo Wars, RTS games which are mostly PC games, are proving to be a favorite among console fans who think that the controller is just as effective in gaming strategy as the mouse and keyboard. Versatility is what makes the gaming industry thrive, and whose to say that a RTS cannot be just as good comparatively when not played on a PC? I expect WIC to be in my stocking at Christmas, if it comes out this year – the version for the PC is expected this fall, so one would hope that the console version wouldn’t be far behind. We will keep you posted, meanwhile, we have plenty of screens for you.

that’s great news. I am highly interested in seeing how they get this on a console. I’m still a bit of a doubter when it comes to RTS on consoles.
