Workaround for Crysis CD-Key Issues

If you’ve been having connection issues when trying to play the Crysis’ multiplayer, Crytek may know what’s ailing you. If you uninstalled either the multiplayer beta or single-player demo after installing the full game, your CD-key may have inadvertently been removed. Crytek has provided a workaround with no guarantees that it will actually solve the problem – that has a rather ominous tone to it. Hopefully the issue is resolved in full soon.
We just would like to let you know that we are aware of the currently occurring issues regarding playing Crysis Multiplayer online. We are already in touch with Gamespy, EA and the world-wide server provider to resolve the problems. This topic has the highest priority for us now and we hope to come up with a solution as quickly as possible.
What we figured out so far already is that when you uninstall the MP Beta/SP Demo after you have installed the full version of Crysis your CD-Key might get removed accidentally. If this is the case please have a look at the workaround we provide further below. There is no guarantee that these work, but they have been helpful to many out there already.
I personally haven’t even tried out the game’s multiplayer yet since I’ve been busy enjoying the single-player and marveling at the game’s graphics. This is a serious issue, though, so we’ll be keeping an eye on it and will pass on the word once Crytek solves the problem.
