Winner of Doritos Unlock Xbox Challenge Revealed

You may remember awhile back when Doritos announced they were holding a contest for people to create a nacho cheese-inspired game to be featured on Xbox Live. Then they put the five finalists online for people to try out and vote for their favorite. Well, the votes have been counted and it looks like the winner is “Doritos Dash of Destruction” by Mike Borland. The game features a T-Rex chasing after a delivery truck full of Doritos. Here’s a breakdown of the gameplay:

With each round, players have a choice between being the DORITOS delivery truck or the hungry T-Rex, and can play against the computer/console or another opponent. Both options offer different benefits to the player, including speed and acceleration. Dinosaurs for example can’t accelerate nearly as quickly as the Doritos truck, but they sure can maintain maximum speeds longer. But players beware. Crashing into buildings will destroy them and create additional roadblocks and excitement.

For better or worse, this is the first user-created game for Xbox Live, and hopefully that means there will be more to come.
