Okay i do agree with the mario thing. bungie couldnt just kill chief. but then again how come only the arbiter is at the end memorial thats wierd and why are they making halo 3 odst and halo reach aand halo wars? i reckon hes dead so there making different Games read the back of your cases people.

DUH, if you complete halo 3 on legendary you hear cortana say she sent out a distress signal even if it is years and chief says “wake me when you need me” which means he must live otherwise they wouldnt be making halo:odst now.

Most likely it is. Because when Master Chief goes into cryogenic sleep he gets frozen and cannot die of old age. Most likely he is still alive. If they make a sequel maybe it will be Master Chief trying to find Cortana if she was also sent down to the planet and is in the ships debree.

After beating Halo 3 on legendary we see Master Chief go into cryogenic sleep which means he is frozen. And therefore he cannot die of old age. And some speculate that the planet Master Chief is headed for is Onyx. There is no doubt in the long run we will see a sequel that Master Chief will appear in. He now might be helping the population on the planet he is headed for. If there will be no sequel there is no doubt Master Chief is still alive.

master chief does not die complete halo 3 on legendary dont skip the credits and u will find out he freezes himself and the back half of the ship got sucked through the portal and mastercheif got stuck it in and froze himself so he could wait for someone to find the beacon cortana let off there you go thats how halo 3 ends the end and also there is a new halo campain – halo 3 odst – there is a new hero and everything set in halo 2 times.!.!.!.!

Ok a bit of advice, if you want to know how master chief become master chief then go buy “Halo The fall of Reach” good book and thats why at the end on the ship it has 117 carved in to it. 117 was master chief or johns code number when they kidnapped him when he was 6 .

apparently the game marathon and halo are suppose to combine in one
look at the ending of halo on legendary watch the cutscene after the credits on legendary
afta cheif and cortana talk loads it zoom out the ship and a planet lights up
ppl say its the forerunner planet
ppl say its the planet the gravemind was born on
ppl say the planet is associated with the game marathon (i dont know if u can buy it anymore or if it is associated with halo.if it is it must be created by bungie)

try reading the book and finding out
also try finding the terminal on the level cortana watch tutorials on how to get there
befoe u get to there cortana pops up and talks about some random shit
no 1 knows wat its about

WELL in the end of the game with the big thing that has in meory for ect…. notice y isnt the 117 and his card there when u can see the hole thing befor the arbitor leaves (cant spell arbitor)… OR u should no about the chip that cortana is on? Well mabie he gave it to the arbitor and told him to take the gear that he was wearing and told him to train his son…
