Yeah well guess what, from the first time i put in GTA IV my 360 would frezze about 3 minutes from starting the game and has now killed it. I have sent it for repairs but im worried that if i try to play it it will die again, Any idea what i should do?

Well Guess what, GTA4 released, Stuck in disk, Frooze on the Picture Slide Show, Restarted. Looked like she was working. Intro Video was playing.

Bout 1 minute into the Video she frooze again, restarted again. and Sadly had the Red Ring of Death.

Booo…

A friend of mine got his Xbox 360 bricked when he first got Halo 3.
I tought it was hillarious, but he was crushed.
Now he got a Xbox 360 with HDMI, so i hope its more stable.

Was there a noticable increase in the RROD when Halo 3 came out? Not that I recall, so I doubt it will happen here.

I’m not worried about my 360 bricking. If it’s going to happen it’s going to happen no matter what. I’m not going to not play a game simply because there is a chance it might brick my console.

GTA IV is supposed to be better on the 360 anyway, or at least that is what I see in everything that I have read about it.

If you already have a 360 and not a PS3 this is hardly a reason to buy a PS3. I’m just saying.

Actually, I know some folk working on the game and

FACT

the ps3 version has given them no end of headaches and suffers from worse framerate, NO unlockable characters (360 version has as standard) and NO forthcoming DL content.

LOL.

Apparently it could have been better but it’s impossible to program the thing.

Also, 360 version is an OPTIONAL install whereas ps3 version installation is REQUIRED (though you still get less game content !??!?)

This is true, wait until release day and buy on ps3 if you don’t think so

I don’t get Microsoft. They should have spent the dollars in developing a stable console instead of using the money, to get DLC for GTA IV

Look, thats all just stupid head line grabbing comments… sure there is a risk, which seems to have been cured..! I play my xbox for hours at a time on and off line, night after night and never have a problem, as do all my friends. So in my eyes a rather silly article which just feeds stupid fan boy arguments..!!

I haven’t played my 360 for a long time. Now on one hand that gave the hardware a nice long rest before the GTAIV onslaught i’ll be putting it through, however i’m sure a lot of dust has collected up. Time to get me one of those office max blow cans.

Killakev, I don’t think Microsoft would pay that much money to Rockstar for a few months of DLC exclusivity…. but I’m sure you’re right that the graphics will be a tad better on the PS3.
Oh, and if your 360 has a HDMI output on it, it probably won’t die on you

Well they may be pushing it as thebest system to get it for but ive been seeing around the net that the PS3 version will have slightly better graphics and load times along with the “EXCLUSIVE” content just a few months later than the 360 and i see the point about the RROD my 360 when running for long periods of time usually starts having choppy frame rates and long load times so im not getting it on the 360 after playing Oblivion on my PS3 for well over 20 hours straight a couple of times i know my PS3 can handle the long times ill be playing GTAIV
NO ONE CALL ME A FANBOY EITHER I OWN ALL THREE CONSOLES AND LIKE DIFFERENT THINGS ABOUT THEM ALL (although i do prefer my PS3)

I had a scary experience last night. Someone at my girl’s job lent her Condemned 2. I put the game in and both times my 360 acted funky. Basically it hung and the graphics were scattered. I immediately told her, “Sorry, but I can’t risk messing up my 360 a week before GTA IV.”

I’ll be an extremely pissed person if my 360 bricks when I put GTA IV in. Probably to the point that I’ll just buy PS3 games from then on and only play 360 when it’s an exclusive game.
