Wii Fit Parody Video

This may be one of my favorite online videos so far this year.
For the majority of gamers, it seems this “new” E3 is somewhat less exciting than the previous years. It might just be me, but I was looking for Nintendo to prove that the Wii has earned its user base. Mario Galaxy made a brief appearance, but the lack of any real Super Smash Bros. news is just sad. Has Nintendo surrendered to the unknown wills of the “general public”? If their ridiculous game play on the Wii Fit is any indication, it seems Nintendo may have just lost focus on the people who carried them through the Gamecube years. We still believe in you Nintendo, don’t forget where you came from.

My favorite line has got to be, “The Wii Fit looks great with anything from IKEA”. That got a good chuckle out of me.
Yeah, that pretty much sums it up. Nintendo fires out yet another gimmicky controller that makes people wonder, “What the heck were they thinking?”
Cor, I was gonna comment about that Daniel! It’s a great video. But, I must say that rolling the ball in the hole game does look a bit funky.
Ron, I’ll let the sales of Wii Sports do the talking.
@Ray: …uh…when did they start selling Wii Sports at retail? Last time I checked, it comes packed in with the Nintendo Wii.
“For far too long video game consoles have limited themselves to being fun and entertaining…”
That’s just great.
@Ray – Wii Sports sales? Seriously, Nintendo has a history of gimmick controllers with little to no utility (see the Power Glove and the Robot for examples). This …plastic foot seesaw is nothing more than yet another gimmick.
This tendency is one of the main reasons that the Wii, however popular its initial sales numbers show it to be, is destined to be ‘that console that I drag out when the wife makes me.’
