Wii Blaster Available on June 27

The latest GameStop ad shows off a picture of the Wii Blaster. That’s right, a light gun that works with your Wiimote! According to the ad text, it’s available June 27. I’ll be making a trip to the local store that day, you can bet.
Now, I don’t know about you guys, but I spent literally YEARS of my adolescent life playing light gun games in the local arcade. Titles like Area 51 and Lethal Enforcers were my bread and butter. The prospect of getting to play some of these games on the Wii is just awesome.
In fact, the fine print in the GameStop ad says, “Compatible with Wii shooting game software such as Wii Play, Nintendo Duck Hunt, Resident Evil 4 – Wii Edition, and more” God knows the Wiimote isn’t the greatest controller around for shooters, so hopefully this will remedy that.
