Who Wouldn’t Want a Piece of this Awesome Guitar Hero Cake?

A girl loves a boy. Boy wants a guitar cake for his birthday. Girl makes him a fabulous Guitar Hero “Guitar” cake. Boy proposes, blows out candles and eats cake. Happily ever after ensues.

Ok, the nifty little love story aside, this is probably one of the coolest gamer cakes I have ever seen. The whole process took her a long time, which she goes into great detail about on her blog I’m Not Charming. The idea of spending that much time on a cake shows not only sincere devotion, but takes a very talented and patient soul to accomplish such a feat. I am sure Duff and the rest of his wild bunch on Ace of Cakes could pull something like this off in no time, but for an amateur, it is fabulous.

If you would like to know how to make the cake, or just look a pictures of each step in the process, you can visit the blog where this all started. Personally, I would rather look at the pictures. It is hard enough baking a cake from scratch even if you immensely enjoy cooking like I do. I would be gray-headed and in a straight jacket half way through a project like this. So, no thanks.
