It’s Tuesday, so that means new Rock Band tracks are now available on the Xbox Live Marketplace. The recent slip up on Xbox.com recently has proven to be correct again in its premature announcement of the week’s DLC.
- Siva – Smashing Pumpkins (160 MS points/ $2)
- Working Man – Rush *Cover* (160 MS points/ $2)
- Ten Speed (Of God’s Blood and Burial) – Coheed and Cambria *Cover* (160 MS Points / $2)
Good stuff, but it’s a shame that two of the songs had to be covers. Expect the same lineup to appear on the PlayStation Store this Thursday.

I’m a little tired of cover songs personally. I’ll probably pick up the Smashing Pumpkins song though. I finally got rid of Guitar Hero 2 and GH3 so I could concentrate more on Rock Band.
covers = ugh
and when it’s a cover, do the original artists get a piece of the pie, or is that the production company’s way of eliminating them from the $ factor ?
Legally, they should get a piece of the pie. I do recall some issues where Activision was accused of not paying some artists for their cover tunes with Rock Band.
Hey, aren’t you playing burnout ?
Nobody gets paid when garage bands cover songs… at gigs..
