What are you talking about? Nothing better to do? I’m working, and then later I’m probably going to party hearty.

Demos are a waste of time.

Not ALL demos are a waste of time. Last night I played two which made me honestly consider purchasing the full game when it comes out – and that rarely happens. Also, not everyone who visits our site is of age to go out and party hard, and then there are some of us (I won’t say who  ) who have already gotten partying out of their systems and no longer find it interesting.

Have fun, and don’t party TOO hard. We don’t have a fund set up to bail our readers out of jail. :-)

    hahaha, thanks.

    Also, what demos were they?

  5. Stephany says:

The Simpsons and Call of Duty 4. Major difference between the two I know. but I enjoyed both of them VERY much.

I never thought I would like the COD games, until bored one night, I started playing my boyfriend’s COD2 and became hooked on it. As far as the Simpsons demo, I have not laughed that much during a game in quite some time. It was just pure fun, and a little frustrating at times.

The demos that made me NOT want to play the games were Jericho and Conan. Jericho did not produce the “horror” I was expecting and Conan was so frustrating! The control scheme is horrendous, I mean, you hack thin air more than you do an enemy or a crate. Also, one small swipe from a goon half your size kicked your ass. I am a long time player of the hack and slash genre and the Conan demo only succeeded in ruining the barbarian’s reputation. Jericho was just a disappointment to me. I was expecting to have the pants scared off of me, but Clive Barker did nothing more than use grotesque imagery instead of psychological terror – just like in his movies. But I am sure someone out there will think that both of these games are great, and that the Simpsons and COD4 suck. That is the great thing about having choices though, there is something for everyone, even if you do not agree with them.

hahaha, I love COD. I may check out the simpsons demo.

I’m kind of disappointed to hear that about Jericho, it looks pretty cool from the advertisements.

I don’t really understand people who equate gorey into scary, instead of just gross.

Crysis demo will be coming out soon. thats what im really looking forward too  because crysis is going to be the best game of 2007 without a doubt.

  8. Heru-Ur says:

i thought the Jericho demo was pretty cool, but i also dug Clive’s movies so… Also i will say while i thought the Hellgate: London demo was good, but it shows you barely anything of the game. The Beta is a ton more fun than the demo i think.

  9. erathoniel says:

He||gate: London is very good. Not for the kiddies, but very good. It has a hide-blood option that would warrant a T rating, as the violence is no more than Star Wars: Republic Commando (Indeed, with the blood off, much less than Republic Commando, which I am staring at in its case right now). It’s a bit more action-packed, and that’s a good thing. Republic Commando felt one step above MechWarrior 3 in movement freedom. MechWarrior 3 has a fair explanation, however.
