A video featuring footage from the Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning closed beta was unleashed this morning. If you were interested in playing WAR before, you will be gagging for it after watching this - well, at least I felt that way.
Based upon Games Workshop’s tabletop fantasy war game, EA Mythic’s Warhammer Online: AoR will hit the PC sometime this Fall. For more information and tons of assets you can look back over our previous posts here.

thats really not very impressive. Looks like the animations need a ton of work if thats actualy how the game plays. Everquest had better animations.

I have been told by a friend who is part of the beta, that the video does not do the game justice. Regardless, I still plan on playing it, as it interests me much more than WoW ever would, could, or should.

I'm sure that the game is great, but the people there need to learn how to make better videos. ^_^;

I'm in the beta. At the moment, it's pretty bad. They ripped of the WoW UI in all the wrong ways. It's clunky and un-elegant. Everything in the game feels half-finished. From characters to animations to sounds.
I was in the WoW-Beta. I can tell you even in beta the wow developers "finished" elements as they added them. They didn't half ass things with the intent to fix them later.
This game may serve a niche, but it will never take down WoW. It feels like a pale copy, implemented in a non-free roaming world. The video above is pretty much what you get. Its not a bad video, it pretty much represents the game perfectly.
