The Xbox Live Arcade really needs a killer gamer. War World might just be the game we have all been waiting for. The visual effects in the game are certainly next-gen and it looks like War World for the Xbox Live Arcade may be an advanced version of the well-received PC game. Ubisoft made some announcements concerning the title back in July of 2007, but we haven’t heard much about it since.
In the game, you choose from one of 10 Mechanoids and get the chance to wreak total havok through a 100-level single-player campaign. From what I have seen, this looks like a better version of Mech Assault. I was highly addicted to Mech Assault on the original Xbox, so I’m sure this game will capture my attention. In addition to a lengthy single-player campaign mode, War World features some great multiplayer modes including Capture the Flag, Bomb Assault, Death Match and Team Death Match. 8-16 players will be able to participate in these multiplayer modes. The entire thing has frag fest written all over it. Unfortunately, we still have no clue when this game will actually hit the arcade, but we’re certainly working on finding some answers.

Better than MechAssault? I don’t know about that, but I do really miss that series. MechAssault was actually the very first game I played on Xbox.
I’ve never played the PC version, but this seems rather slow-paced compared with MA. Does anyone know if it’s just this particular video or not?
