Vista-Only Game Cracked?

If it’s true, the idea of a Vista-exclusive game getting cracked makes me giddy.
According to TheInquirer.net, hacker group Razor1911 broke down what needs to be done in order to play Shadowrun in Windows XP – no DirectX10 required. And apparently all that the crack requires is that you overwrite a few files in the installation folder with the ones provided by Razor.
Is this too good to be true, or is this a breakthrough for all us gamers out there who don’t want to give Microsoft more money?
I’m not a huge fan of breaking laws and infringing on people’s copyrights. But man oh man, the lines do blur when it comes to Microsoft.

It also needs to be noted that Halo 2 is *not* a DX10 game so all someone had to figure was how to make the game run in XP by removing the Vista “requirement”, there is no DX10 backporting required for a DX9 Vista-only game.
haha, I wasted money on my xbox.
Yeah, but does the game still require a full Shader 3.0 DX9c capable video card?
Just checked, yeah it does. Minimum video card: Geforce 6600 or Radeon x800.
