I think at this point I can safely say that Burnout has become my favorite racing franchise, and for good reason. The action never lets up, it gives you a great sense of speed, and getting into massive car crashes is just sweet. Burnout Paradise is set to release next month, and the promised demo was released on the Xbox Live Marketplace last night, with the PlayStation Network release set for later today (if it isn’t up already… cross your fingers).
The dashboard text on the demo makes it sound like you’ll be able to explore a small portion of Paradise City and invite friends to play online. In other words, both of the big features in Paradise – an open environment and a seamless online multiplayer – are being laid out for you to try.
Now if you’ll excuse me, I want to go visit Paradise City.

Gamepro have done a quick comparison of the demo for Burnout Paradise. The PS3 version looks better while the 360 version has rumble however the PS3 version also has rumble if you have a dual-shock 3 which are now on sale if you want to import one.
This is quite a significant game because to my knowledge its the first high profile simultaneous multiplatform release that has been developed with the PS3 as lead SKU. You might have noticed that by doing so they have had no development problems to speak of, no delays and both versions seem to be running absolutely fine. That’s because despite what some may say its easier to port from the PS3 to the 360 than the other way around and I’m certain this is what will become standard practice.
