Video Games – We Play to Get Rewarded

Why do you play video games? Could it be something as simple as a bunch of numbers?
Yes, it could.
Gamewad.com has a pretty interesting feature discussing the possible reasons why we find ourselves sitting down night after night or day after day trying to get that certain score, or that armor, or the ranking.
Those nearly inexplicable urges we have to achieve some trivial pursuit in the name of, well, whatever we want to make it.
They say what it gets down to is the “rewards system” that video games have in place, the construct that is designed into what we play to cause us to come back for more.
To try again and again to reach the cheese at the end of the virtual maze.
It’s different for every person, and we all have our own reasons. The fun of it all is to discuss, sometimes.
Why do you play video games?

Very simple ….because its fun.
The day its no longer fun is the day I stop playing.
