Video Games that Stray from Violence

It’s not all about ripping someone’s spinal cord out, even though Mortal Kombat did make me drool as a thirteen year-old.
Not that it’s completely news, but the Herald-Tribune is running a story about what developers are creating out there which will be fun for all ages, and won’t have a chance at creating a stir about violence.
The article first mentions Ubisoft, and how they’re developing a word-building vocabulary exercise game. Among others are Konami and Nintendo, with soccer games and Brain Age.
I guess the brief synopsis is worth a read, but if you’re really into word games, you need look no further than Bookworm Adventures.
