Video Games Blamed in Police Pursuit of Teenagers

trackingchase.jpgReally? So, if the perpetrators were, say, thirty would video games still be to blame?

Video games were apparently the real culprit in New Zealand today when two fourteen year-old boys were pursued after being identified in a stolen high-performance car.

After the job was done, Inspector Karl Wright St. Clair said in The Dominion Post article, “It was like one of those video games the kids play where they steal a car and shoot at police.” He didn’t deny making a direct link between the incident and video games.

How about blaming saturday morning cartoons for drug problems, while we’re at it? I mean, come on, where else would you get the idea that you want to go off into your own fantasy world?
