Video Game Used to Test for Autism and Dyslexia

Are you afraid your child has autism or dyslexia? If so, video games might be able to give you a more definitive answer.
For those of you who don’t know, autistic children avoid contact with other human beings, eye contact, and generally appear to be in a “world of their own.” It’s complicated. Dyslexia, on the other hand, is a more straight forward learning disability where word assocation and making words are, well, a tad difficult.
According to Autism Speaks, one in fifty children has autism, and according to The International Dyslexia Association, about 15-20% of the population has learning disorders. The company Learning for Children has apparently latched onto these statistics and since 1999 has been developing a video game to market to this particular demographic.
So you gamers out there with toddlers, if you’re concerned, give it a run.
