Vehicle Combat Coming to Star Wars Galaxies

Star Wars Galaxies Producer Christopher Field has officially confirmed John Smedley’s accidental revelation of plans for vehicle combat for Sony Online Entertainment’s MMO.
Field made the announcement official on Station’s Star Wars Galaxies forum. He also lets gamers know what will be announced during the Galactic Assembly presentation at SOE’s Fan Faire 2008 next week in Las Vegas. Attendees will get hear which vehicles included in The Battle of Echo Base will be available for the battle on Hoth.

Who cares? The two people still playing?
This game will be replaced by the KOTOR MMO officially when it comes out, so it's a waste to continue working on it. Unless you go back to PRE-NGE, the guys working on SWG are idiots.

KotOR MMO is still unconfirmed at this point. As I said countless times to people, just because some website said something, doesn't mean it's true. The information can't be verified, so right now it's got no more going for it than any of the other countless rumors.
Either way, SOE should quit embarassing themselves and just pull the plug on SWG. It's costing them far more money than they're making off it, and either way their attempts are just humiliating. SWG's devs seem intelligent enough, so the only conclusion I can come to is that the pinstripe pen-pushers are allowed far more involvement in the development process than they should be.
They've already killed the game several times over. What more do they want - to defecate on it's corpse as well?
SWG is currently the gaming equivalent of Owen Harper.
(It's just occured to me, that posting a Torchwood reference on an American website, probably isn't the best way to communicate sarcasm. Y'know, given that America doesn't get BBC Three. >_> )

Mikouen, as I said before, it will be replaced by KOTOR MMO. It has been officially announced by a person working on the game. Search the internet and you may find the video of the guy confirming the game will come out. It was at E3. But I agree with the latter paragraphs.

@Mikouen: I got the Owen Reference.. Torchwood is playing here in the US on BBC America BTW - though I watched it in other ways:)

And Duddete, dont undercredit the SWG population, its more like 15.
But ya, SWG is dead, the people still playing it are just REALLY passionate about their game.

hopefully we get space combat right off the bat in kotor:o that is the only part of star wars that was ever cool for me… and it would kick even more ass if you could have star destroyer sized vehicles manned by like 10-20 people..

This is game is still alive? Soon enough the private servers will have more population than the official version
