and i got the Orange Box from a game shop called Game cant play it cos key being used already
took it back and cant get an over copy cos key is being used Valve i what my money back

There is no stolen key offered from anybody. But to stay with the cars:

It’s your own fault for buying what is, for lack of better words, and illegal key. So if you could buy a car from India 65% cheaper because it was stolen, you would still buy it?

i got one of these keyes in thailand on vacation, kinda dissapointed now when my money is gone and lost. wont buy more from valve…

What this comes down to is ownership. What Valve have decided is that you as a consumer, nolonger own the game – they do. What you buy for your £30, $60 or whatever you pay, is a lease to the game. It means that you can nolonger sell your game on, or take it around the world on your laptop, or do anything they don’t want you to do.

Some may call it defending intellectual property – others may call it capitalism gone mad. I fear this practice will only become more common as time goes on.

So, I nick down to K-Mart and buy a new lawn mower on discount.
Then the lawn mower maker sneaks into my shed, without warning or consent, takes my new lawn mower leaving me a note saying k-mart ought not to have sold it to me.

Utterly outrageous. It’s a legal copy. It’s none of Valve’s business WHERE the customer is playing it. What, it’d be acceptable if I travelled overseas with my laptop and XP stopped working because my copy of XP is only “authorised” for use in Australia?

Foul, anti-consumer nonsense.

Absolute Garbage, they should be offering some kind of consolation. Valve already has the money!!!
Why are they doing this??

I understand wanting the territory controlled, but at the same time, they already were paid for these keys, they should be deactivating the keys, yes, but they should be charging them a lesser price for the orange box.
