Valve is a Huge Tease; “Big Announcement” Coming Tomorrow

Valve seems to just love making their fans dance like puppets on a string, considering how they love to keep teasing us with announcements about future announcements. Along with their weekly update, which said we can expect a “Meet the Engineer” movie for Team Fortress 2 soon, they also said this:
In other TF2 news, stay tuned for a pretty big announcement next week. You’re going to want to hold off on planning any vacations until you hear what we’ve got to say on Tuesday.
I’m not getting my hopes up too much though, as about half the time these “big announcements” aren’t anything that Earth-shattering. Although, with some of the rumors I’ve been hearing, my best guess would be that The Orange Box is getting released sooner than expected (fingers crossed). We shall have to see, I guess.

I’ll be betting on a free public trial for TF2 before the game is released, let valve iron out a few more bugs and make it look like they’re just being badasses

TF2 is pretty much done. TF2 was the last hurdle for Orange Box. Now is the time for internal testing and possibly beta testing. It wouldn’t surprise me to see an early release announcement either.
I can’t wait to see that “Meet The Engineer” video. These shorts are hilarious.
