Unsurprising News: Ubisoft Announces New Prince of Persia in the Works

Ubisoft has announced that they are currently working on a Prince of Persia title for the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC. Yay! And that’s pretty much all we know at this point. Ubisoft’s press release only reveals vague notions for the game, saying it will involve “a new breed of gameplay” and “a brand-new illustrative art style.” I’d normally be against any radical changes to the series’ gameplay, but it could probably use some, considering the number of action games that have improved upon the Prince’s acrobatics lately (including Ubisoft’s own Assassin’s Creed). The game is being developed by the same team behind the Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time trilogy though, so whatever they come up with should be fun. According to Ubisoft though, we’ll have to wait until the end of this year to find out.
