FileFront has screenshots from Chair Entertainment’s upcoming title Undertow. The game takes place on earth after Aquatic alien invaders, the Elect, have melted the polar ice caps and submerged the planet. Players will battle the Elect as either Iron Marines, Nemoidians, or Atlantians to reclaim their planet. There are 15 single player levels planned, co-op campaigns and two multiplayer modes that will reportedly support up to 16 players online.

Undertow is expected to use Gears of War developer Epic’s Unreal 3 engine, be only 50MB (which is hard to believe) and depending on your source it might hit its chosen delivery service – Microsoft’s Xbox Live! – late this summer.

It seems odd that a developer could use such an advanced game engine and limit the content to 50MB (especially since Live! now allows some games up to 250Mb of data). Chair Entertainment is comprised of much of the team behind the failed “Sci-Fi epic” Advent Rising.
