I think the reason why this game got so much even worse of a rep was because the Xbox360 version was a very shitty port. The graphics on the PC looked decent at max. On Xbox260 the graphics were washed out, jagged and even had a bad framerate. The controls on PC were also nice but nothing special, but on the 360 they were horrible. I played the demo, and while you could see so much promise, its visuals were barely what I would call second rate. It was not next gen, it was last gen. But the visuals for the sequel seem to have rectified that situation, and revamping the combat will help as well. I'm guessing that the little praise it did get for its valiant first try they opted to go at it one more time and iron out what everyone complained about. It may not be an oblivion killer, But I think this sequel will do much better than its predecessor. The only game that could challenge Oblivion in my mind is Fable 2, but the successor to the open world RPG Throne will undoubtedly be Fallout 3. I could be wrong, we shall see. I second Heru-Ur.
