Two Worlds: The Temptation

SouthPeak Games announced today that it will be releasing a sequel to its open world role-playing game, Two Worlds. Entitled Two Worlds: The Temptation, the game is slated to be available on the PC and Xbox 360 this Fall.

Taking place shortly after the events portrayed in the first Two Worlds, The Temptation takes place in Eastern Antaloor, in the regions surrounding Oswaroh and the Drak’ar Desert. Featuring as much content as the original, Two Worlds: The Temptation will feature more missions, improved voice-overs and animations, retooled horseback riding, completely revamped combat, and a new game engine that delivers revamped visuals - which by looking at the screenshots actually appear pretty decent.

Hopefully, they made this one a lot more playable than their last attempt. For more information on Two Worlds: The Temptation you can look over our previous posts and check out the official website.

WOW, how did this sequel not get canned?

  2. Heru-Ur says:

Two Worlds was like the hottest chick on the planet with a big fat zit on her nose. You knew she (and the game) was hot, but you couldnt stop staring at the zit.

I second Heru-Ur. I played the demo, and while you could see so much promise, its visuals were barely what I would call second rate. It was not next gen, it was last gen. But the visuals for the sequel seem to have rectified that situation, and revamping the combat will help as well. I’m guessing that the little praise it did get for its valiant first try they opted to go at it one more time and iron out what everyone complained about. It may not be an oblivion killer, But I think this sequel will do much better than its predecessor. The only game that could challenge Oblivion in my mind is Fable 2, but the successor to the open world RPG Throne will undoubtedly be Fallout 3. I could be wrong, we shall see.

I thought this game was pretty fun, it wasn’t perfect but the combat system was fun, with the dodging and what-not.

I think the reason why this game got so much even worse of a rep was because the Xbox360 version was a very shitty port.

The graphics on the PC looked decent at max. On Xbox260 the graphics were washed out, jagged and even had a bad framerate. The controls on PC were also nice but nothing special, but on the 360 they were horrible.

Hopefully the sequel will be much better though!

I made a small typo, I accidentally typed a 2 instead of a 3 on that first Xbox360! Can ya blame me, the keys are right next to each other!
