Twisted Metal: Head On – Extra Twisted Edition Has Tons of Extras

I’ve been a big Twisted Metal fan ever since I got my first PlayStation, so any time there’s a new Twisted Metal game coming out that doesn’t resemble Small Brawl, I get excited. Head On remains one of the better games you can get on PSP, so a PS2 port is only doing a good service to those who haven’t already gotten a chance to play it.
We already knew that Extra Twisted Edition would be packing in extra levels – one designed specifically for this game and The Lost Levels, four levels that never made it into Twisted Metal: Black. And of course there’s going to be a graphical improvement and a silky smooth 60 frames per son framerate. That alone would be enough to tempt any TM fan, but the game has a whole lot more to offer.
- You’ll get a code to download a free copy of The Twisted Metal Symphony, a compilation soundtrack of songs from TM1, 2, Black, and Head On.
- An art book
- A 30-minute documentary of the history of Twisted Metal.
- Sweet Tour mode where you play as Sweet Tooth, roaming levels built for TM: Black 2, finding icons that will open up concept art and making-of info.
- A series of unreleased live action end movies for the original TM that were at the time deemed too sexist or too violent.
And how much does this wonderful package cost, you ask? $20. I might sound like a press release, but that is one hell of a deal. The game releases on February 5.
You can get more details at PlayStation.Blog.
Update: We’ve got a handful of screenshots on FileFront for your viewing pleasure.

I have been a big twisted metal fan since TM1 came out for playstation 1. I never got a chance to play any of the PSP version because I just don’t have a PSP. I would sooo buy this if I had a PSP though, all that stuff and at that price? Hell yeah.

DeathDream,
If you read closely you’ll see it is going to be released on the PS2.
TM has a special place in my gaming heart, so I’m going to have to get this. The only way this could be topped is if the hidden secret is info about a future PS3 game. lol.
