Trion World Network has amassed $70 million in funding for its upcoming server-based PC MMOs. The company hasn’t revealed the setting and plots for most of its “Trion Platform” projects. According to VentureBeat, the cloud-based MMO it’s been working on is tied in with a new Sci-fi series and will have in-game events directly connected to the show’s episodes.
If Trion can truly pull of an MMO with a Dynamic setting which grows with new infusion of episodic content, it could have a powerful symbiosis with a television series. That of course depends on whether the series is any good to begin with. Considering that Trion’s backers are confident enough in the pairing to fork out $70 million on projects that are hardly more than concepts, hopefully there’s something here to watch.

Gaming & TV? could be a good mix
Though what’s the bet that us in Australia won’t see the show till the whole thing has finished in the states?
The return of Firefly!

I haven’t heard of this morons and never will. Concepts never develop into real things.
