leipzig gc2008 Travel Improvements In Store for Leipzig Games Convention

This is the year that many of the complications with travel accommodations for the Games Convention 2008 in Leipzig Germany will be alleviated.

Six additional charter flights have been added to the Leipzig Messe itinerary from Amsterdam, Helsinki, London/Luton, Munich, Paris/Le Bourget and Vienna, departing on August 19 and 20, with return flights available on August 21 and 22.

The railway system will also be accommodating exhibitors, trade visitors and gamers with Deutsche Bahn offering a special Games Convention ticket, valid from any DB station. Tickets will be priced at EUR 99 for second class or EUR 159 for first class and will be valid between 18 and 26 August 2008.

Gamers going en mass can book direct coach service for 50 to the convention from any one of 30 German towns arriving at Leipzig by 10am on the Friday or Saturday. The cost will vary according to distance.

Games Convention 2008 is scheduled for August 21-24 with August 20 reserved for press and trade only.
These travel accommodations can only spur the growth of an already burgeoning convention. I hope the local hospitality services can keep up.
