Traction Radio Brings Your Music Into Your Games

We’ve all been there. Sitting at home, playing through a game, and saying to yourself, “This game would rock with a heavy metal soundtrack.” Unfortunately, the developer didn’t agree, and so you’re stuck listening to a symphonic rendition of elevator music.
Well, those days are over. Thanks to the folks over at Stickman Entertainment, who are bringing you Traction In-Game Radio. If you think you’ve heard the name Stickman Entertainment before, you very well may have. They used to create game soundtracks for a number of companies, including THQ.
Now, we all know that internet radio is nothing new. So, what’s so great about Traction? Well, first off it’s free, thanks to the efforts of sponsors. Second, it’s optimized to run behind the scenes while you’re gaming, and therefore uses very little in the way of resources and bandwidth. Lastly, it ships with pre-configured in-game hotkeys that allow you to change volume and genres; and also to rate the songs you hear. Rating songs is how users directly influence the tracklists that they hear. Traction is also being supported by the folks over at Xfire.
I’ve been trying Traction out the last couple of days, and I give it two thumbs up. If you want to check it out, head over to their site.
