Top Gamertags of 2007

To my surprise, Microsoft keeps track of an excruciatingly minute detail – “hits” on Gamertags, which equate to the number of times people click their profiles or posts in the forums. As the techies expaliend it to TriXie, “Anytime the gamercard or profile is called up, that’s a hit.” Simple enough.
Shockingly enough, Major Nelson was at the top of the list, followed by some of the other faces of Xbox 360, e (Xbox Live’s Operations Manager) and TriXie (Community Editor at Xbox.com). Coming in at #6 was the NBA’s Gilbert Arenas, who likely reached such heights after he was exposed as a cheater of sorts in Halo 3. You might notice some other names from the 360’s community of gamers, including DeaconBlade 360, dirtydive, and Knuckles Dawson.
Oh, and here’s one for the Call of Duty and Halo fanboys to fight over: fourzerotwo (Infinity Ward’s community manager) beat Bungie writer extraordinaire Frankie by one spot.

I'm surprised my gamertag wasn't on the list, but I also typically charge people $19.95 to be my friend on XBL.
