Critics be damned–when it comes down to the bestsellers, the gamers have decided. And there are a surprising number that I wouldn’t have expected.
Gunslot.com, which seems to have an avid fascination for actual guns, has posted, in an unrelated fashion, the top 25 bestselling games of all time. The list is an interesting collection, starting off with the bestselling Pokemon, Red, Blue and Green for the GameBoy.
You don’t really see any recent “hard core” games until Vice City coming in at #7, and forget about the original Halo. We put a picture of Nintendogs up there just because it’s cute.

Pfft….. the list is garbage
Ironically I find the list rather believable. What’s garbage is the majority of comments left on the actual list itself. I honestly can believe that Nintendogs sold more than Halo 2. Why?
Well, let’s look in contrast… Nintendogs is rated E, for Everyone. Halo 2 is rated M, for Mature. Now, understandably there are some below 17 who playedHalo 2, although, for the most part, the games like Mario, Nintendogs, Pokemon, all of them appealed to a MUCH larger demographic than Halo 2.
Aha i hate all of them
wow 3 Gran Turismo games on there… niiiiiiiiiiiiice
what i dont get is how they could forget about tomb raider and half life.
its gaming blasphemy!
Pokeman was a slave trader! Pikachu was a slave master!
My pokemans Let me show you them.
Absolutely Incredible!
25 Games I didn’t want to hear about and NONE I would ever allow to suck up disk space! ALL TIME… MY HAIRY @$$!
I suppose someone out there in the community really goes for this stuff, I have to agree with Terdog on this one… The List IS Garbage!
Notice how this is a list of the “bestselling games of all time”? They’re counting by games sold. Personal preference is irrelevant there.
