The 21 best selling console games were compiled by sales gross up to the year 2006. Now, as with any list, you can expect Mario to be in there someplace, and maybe even some GTA. As a matter of fact, Mario is on this list 6 times, and GTA along with Gran Turismo is on it three times each. Please note that these are non-bundled statistics.

For a complete listing of the best selling games per each console (even Sega Saturn) and genre click here. There are a lot of good games out there that just did not make the cut sales wise to make these lists, and I understand that not all people like the same genres or franchises -plus, how can you win against a Mario title? You can’t. If I had my own list, it would be so one sided, Morrowind, Zelda, Resident Evil, God of War, Dark Alliance, San Andreas, you know girly stuff. What I was surprised most about was that Conker’s Bad Fur Day was not on the N64 list. What is wrong with people? That is one of the best games ever. Seriously. Remember the Tediz? I hated those cute and furry little psychos.
