too human1 Too Human Demo is Live

I wasn’t expecting this so soon, but Major Nelson just posted word that the demo of Too Human is now available on the Xbox Live Marketplace. It weighs in at 1.09GB, so you might want to get that download going before you head to work this morning.

As such a huge fan of games like Diablo, I’m excited to finally try the game out. It seems like the impressions of it over the past year have been so wildly different that I just need to try it out for myself and decide whether or not to buy it. (Although, the odds are that unless this demo is a complete atrocity, I’ll be buying it on day one.)

After you try it, be sure to come back and let us know what you think of Silicon Knights’ first game on Xbox 360.

The combat could use a bit of tweaking, and it seemed like I got a bit of slowdown, but otherwise pretty fun. Oh, almost forgot. There was a spot where you could open 3 doors and there was like, a challenge in each one, or something. I did the middle, then I went for the left and I got my ass kicked. I couldn’t even hurt the monster that I was supposed to kill. I don’t know if it was a bug or if I’m just really bad at the game.

I would have loved to be able to choose more than 1 class, and to be able to use all the items that dropped for me before the end of the demo. (Got to lvl 6 or 7 in the demo and some armor and weapons I got required 8 or 9. Also, some armor and weapons required different classes that weren’t available in the demo.) I’ll definitely be buying the game, but I hope they look into these things before it launches.

I rather like it. The combat was fun , unique. Seems like it has a fairly interesting story as well. Even if it was complete crap I would probably still buy it though because its made in my home town :P

I liked it too, combat was a tad on the slow side, but I’m sure that will change as your character progresses, and the idea of stringing combos together just by swinging the right stick around was definitely something I’d not seen before.

This is still definitely at the top of my “To buy” list when it comes out (when is that, anyway??)
