Time to Decide: NBA 2K8 Demo on Xbox Live Marketplace; 2K or Live?

The NBA Live 08 demo saw its release on the Xbox Live Marketplace a few weeks ago, and now it’s NBA 2K8’s turn, with a 325.23 MB demo released on the Marketplace early this morning. NBA 2K7 was clearly the victor last year in terms of quality when the two matched up, but this year things seem to be rather even, with the NBA Live 08 demo impressing me when I spent some time with it.
Signature moves, shots and dribble moves are one of the new highlights that you’ll be able to see in the demo in addition to the new lock-on defense feature and off-ball controls. The full version will also have a new Sprite Slam Dunk Contest mode, enhance Association mode, and more.
Either way you go, it certainly looks like you can’t lose this year with your NBA game of choice. PS3 owners – hopefully a demo will be released later this week with the usual Thursday PlayStation Store content update, but at worst, expect it next week. NBA 2K8 is set for release on October 2.
nice note!No one really has a confident feel on what this news could be. Some have suggested the release date may be pushed up to next nba live Tuesday, but its hard to believe EA would want to ?? release Live on the same day as Halo 3. On the other hand nbalive it would still accomplish beating out NBA 2K8 to the store shelves. Both currently are set to be in ??? stores on Tuesday October 2nd.
